3/24/2024 0 Comments Ip address to mac converter![]() You can try the IP address of your network adapter (if any) or if you don’t have any active network other than your WiFi, you can either try 127.0.0.1 which is permanently designated as a “loopback” address (but doesn’t always work for sometimes dumb reasons) or you can look into setting up some sort of more advanced add-on “loopback” virtual adapter which in Windows is sometimes called a “KM-Test Loopback Adapter” and I have no clue what it might be called in MacOS - or if it even exists (it should since it’s unix-based)Įither way, networking is always more complex than you think it is and unfortunately you will have to learn more about the wide world of networking and stumble through / try different things until it works. Unicast and broadcast work most of the time, and when staying on the same computer you can use the same IP address everywhere - IE the “node address” of TD is going to be the same as the IP address of Photon and the same as the network adapter that the data should go out-of / in-to in TD. ![]() Multicast usually relies on there being a network switch (with something called “IGMP Snooping” enabled) in between two devices, so trying to use Multicast within the same machine might not work - at least I have never gotten it to…ĭifferent programs and different operating systems handle internal network traffic differently, and it can get a bit confusing, I would suggest staying away from Multicast for communications within the same computer. ![]()
